Looking Back at the Best of 2025 – And What’s to Come in 2026

We were hard at work in 2025, continuing to build the simplest Project Portfolio and Resource Management solution in the world. Take a look at our highlights from the year and let us know what you’re looking forward to in 2026.

2025 was definitely an eventful year for our team at MeisterplanWith so many updates and new features, we have a lot to be proud of! But before we dive headfirst into the new year, we wanted to look back at some of our favorite features from the past twelve months.

Major Improvements to the Jira Integration

One of our priorities in 2025 was to improve the experience of organizations working with agile teams. That’s why we introduced new and improved functionality for our Jira integration.

The Task Timeline helps you bridge the planning gap between your teams’ agile work and your portfolio roadmap. It allows you to visualize tasks from external tools (like Jira) directly in Meisterplan, giving you better visibility without disrupting established workflows.

You can also use the Jira Connector to automatically import allocations, actual time worked, and milestones from Jira into Meisterplan.

Teams can keep working in their preferred tools without interruption, while portfolio coordinators get the information they need without getting lost in the details. A win-win scenario!

Export Project Data to Microsoft PowerPoint

Preparing presentations on your project status and progress doesn’t have to be time-consuming. Who wants to spend ages manually copying data into slides? Not us!

With our PowerPoint export function, you can export all your project information into a predefined template with just a click of a button.

We’ll provide you with a default template to get started, but you can upload up to ten templates of your own. Customize the slides with your corporate design and organize the exported data in a way that works best for your presentations.

The Beta Program

Want early access to new features before they’re officially released? Our beta program gives you a sneak peek at what’s coming and the chance to help shape it.

We welcome feedback from beta users so that we can make our software exactly what our customers need.

At the moment, we have two live beta features:

  • Allocations by Project Phase: Divide a project’s allocations into phases that are linked to milestones.
  • Modernized and Improved Portfolio Designer: The same Portfolio Designer that you know and love, now with a sleeker look and a more intuitive interface.

What to Look Forward to in 2026

This year, we’re working on implementing Meisterplan AI to further simplify your planning. Starting as part of the beta program, we’ll roll out new functionality such as AI project summaries and AI-optimized scenarios.

We’re also expanding our range of out-of-the-box integrations beyond the existing Jira Connector. Synchronizing data from your project management tools will soon be easier than ever before.

We value your input. If there’s something you’d love to see in Meisterplan, visit our public product roadmap and share feedback. You can explore what we’re working on, see what’s still under consideration, or submit your own ideas

Now here’s to 2026!
