Cookies and their Use
Cookies are small text files that are stored on the hard disk of your computer and enable recognition, while not permitting access to personal identification. They serve to facilitate navigation on a website or the control of advertising. This is done, for example, by limiting the contact of a user with the same advertisement and also through the insertion of especially important/useful advertising campaigns on the portal. For this purpose, information about your activities on our website, such as clicked banners and visited sub-pages, will be used under a pseudonym, where appropriate, in connection with anonymous data from online questionnaires. From a technical basis the IP Address of your computer is fully anonymized by an independent third party and is not used for the controlled insertion of advertisements. You can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive by selecting “Do not allow Cookies” [LF1] in your browser settings. You can also set your browser so that it will ask you before setting cookies if you agree to them. Finally, you can also delete any cookies at any time. To understand how this works in detail, please refer to the instructions of your browser’s manufacturer. If you reject cookies this may lead, in certain cases, to functional limitations with websites. Even without intentional deletion of the cookies, they are, nevertheless, deleted automatically after a period of twelve months.
