We made signing into Meisterplan and managing its users easier and more secure. You can now log in with just your username and password, and using a Single Sign-On (SSO) service for logging in and managing users is now available for cloud-based Meisterplan systems.
Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML 2.0
Most of us use an ever-increasing number of different digital tools and programs during a typical workday. Also increasing with every new app, network, and cloud we use is the number of login credentials we have to remember. That’s stressful, and it’s not really safe either. Having to think of and remember so many passwords, people tend to choose easy ones like “mycatsname123,” or even the same password for every account. Security – not so much.
That’s why Meisterplan now supports Single Sign-On (SSO) for all users. This centralized authentication process means increased security and less stress throughout the company, from users to administrators. Using Single Sign-On, users only have to authenticate once with an Identity Provider. This means your users have less passwords to remember and save time. What’s more, the company infrastructure becomes more secure by having all the passwords managed in a central directory, where admins can make sure that each password follows the guidelines for safe passwords.
Many of our customers said they want Single Sign-On and SAML 2.0, especially those in an enterprise environment. This feature makes it much easier to integrate Meisterplan into existing infrastructure and processes.
– Thomas Quandt, Meisterplan Customer Success Manager
Meisterplan supports popular Identity Providers like Azure Active Directory and OneLogin. Enterprise-level organizations will especially appreciate that we support the SAML 2.0 standard, as it means they can use their own SSO solution.
But we didn’t stop at Single Sign-On: Logging into Meisterplan got easier for everyone! Regardless if you’re just taking your trial account for a spin or if you’re working daily with Meisterplan, from now on you just enter your username and password on the login page for the region that your Meisterplan system is hosted in. You’ll find the pages at us.meisterplan.com and eu.meisterplan.com.
Of course, you can still go the comfortable route of using the login button here on the website (in the upper right corner of the header) if you have logged into Meisterplan in this browser before and you are allowing cookies.
