Which projects should be implemented when, and by whom? Good project portfolio management will answer this question. There are plenty of supporting software applications available – but few are up to the task when companies need a “Management Cockpit.”
The 3rd PPM Praxis Test 2016, which was held last November in Zurich, has enabled a structured comparison of leading PPM tools based on real-world conditions. The report with the results from the field test was published last week including an outstanding review of Meisterplan.
50 Criteria, 10 Tools, One Outstanding Finish for Meisterplan
Ten PPM tools – including Meisterplan, MS Project, Planta, and CA PPM – were up for review based on 50 criteria. We are thrilled about Meisterplan’s outstanding performance in the subject areas of strategy, resources, and pricing model. PPM Praxis Test wrote, “Meisterplan shines in the area of resource-oriented project and portfolio planning.”
When it came to the general criteria, Meisterplan proved itself in terms of configurability and as a cloud-based application with a resource-based price for the purchase/operating model.
2nd Place in the “Management Cockpit” Category
Meisterplan won second place as a “Management Cockpit” solution – thanks to top marks in the PPM cockpit planning areas such as resource simulation, roadmap, and portfolio scenarios. These functions always have a part to play when companies want to design their project portfolio strategically – from the top down.
